Doug Mann, CEO
In February of 2013, Doug Mann joined Cornerstone as Chief Executive Officer. Possessing more than 25 years of experience leading both large and small corporations with complex operations and logistic networks, Doug has successfully transformed companies into world-class organizations. His strong emphasis on customer service responsiveness, cost-effective programs, and market-driven products, services and technologies has resulted in the creation of industry-leading client partnerships. Focusing on increasing organizational effectiveness - highlighting recognition and reward, training and development, and business process improvement - has motivated productive workforces and developed organizations into customer-centric companies.
During his career, Doug has been instrumental in the development of market leading sales and operating plans that led to implementation of substantial sales growth and margin improvement, through both organic and acquisition related activity.
He has held senior executive positions at Vertis Communications, Gannett Offset, and Reynolds and Reynolds. Doug has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. He was born in New York City and grew up in Westchester, NY and Burlington, VT. He and his wife of 26 years live in Vienna VA, which is just south of Cornerstone's corporate office. They have five children, three in college and two at home.
Fred Cooper, CFO
Fred Cooper became Chief Financial Officer of Cornerstone Records Management in March 2012. He is the senior financial officer directing all accounting and financial functions and brings leadership to the organization that is results-driven and focused on creating better value and responsiveness for the company's clients.
Most recently he served as CFO for Hess Print Solutions, a portfolio company of Wellspring Capital. Fred brings over 20 years of accounting, acquisition, banking and financial experience to Cornerstone. Prior to joining Hess, he held CFO roles at Vertis Communications and American Forest Products both located in the Baltimore - Washington corridor. He started his career with Ernst & Young and then continued his development through a series of challenging financial roles at Prudential, Coca-Cola Enterprises and Black & Decker.
Fred received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The American University in Washington, D.C. and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Maryland School of Law.
Amy McNeeley, VP, Human Resources
Amy McNeeley joined Cornerstone as the Vice President of Human Resources in August 2009. Her experience and expertise is focused on the start up and creation of human resources strategic and tactical operations in companies that are in a high growth stage. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Amy was the Director of HR at RWD Technologies. Amy began her professional career as a Finance Manager at a Southwestern Bell subsidiary and has a true understanding of building financial models to support corporate initiatives.
Amy received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Hotel & Restaurant Administration from Florida State University.
Chris Pease, SVP, Operations
Chris Pease is Cornerstone's Senior Vice President of Operations. He joined Cornerstone in July 2011 as the President of the Eastern Division. Chris brings to Cornerstone over 25 years of leadership experience in the Record Management Industry. Prior to Cornerstone, Chris was most recently the Vice President - Records and Information Management for Pitney Bowes. As Vice President, Chris oversaw a new business offering for PBMS and had full responsibility for all Secure Document Destruction (SDS) and Records & Information Management (RIM) operations. Chris has also served as the Regional General Manager for the Northeast region for Recall Corp., where he lead both sales and operations and was instrumental in the start-up of several Document Storage and Document Processing operations. At Cornerstone, Chris' experience will be leveraged to assist in accomplishing Cornerstone's growth goals, both from an organic and acquisition standpoint.
Chris attended the University of Delaware and holds a BS in Business Management.
Barry Polan, SVP, Sales
Barry Polan joined Cornerstone as Senior Vice President of Sales in April of 2013. Together with his national sales team, Barry is responsible for implementing successful marketing initiatives and best-in-class sales processes to grow sales across all channels. With a consultative sales approach, he builds strategic partnerships with clients that result in responsive, reliable cost-effective records and information management programs. Barry brings more than 17 years of leadership to the company and has a long history of significantly growing sales with previous companies. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Peeq Media, in California, where he initiated, built and managed its West Division. As Vice President of Sales at Coloredge, also located in California, he exceeded sales and profit goals for five consecutive years. Barry was also instrumental in the success of New York-based C2 Media during his five years there.
Barry holds a BA in Behavioral Science/Psychology from the University of Albany with an MBA in Finance from University of Redlands.
Fred Diers, VP, Client Advisory Services
In April of 2013, Fred Diers joined Cornerstone as Vice President of Client Advisory Services. His primary focus is to advise clients and prospects in developing and implementing enterprise wide flexible and compliant records and information management programs focusing on a governance life cycle approach. In this role, Fred collaborates with clients to streamline records and information management processes while reducing costs and strengthening information accession standards. Thanks to his 40 years of records and information management experience for multi-national organizations, Fred brings critical technical knowledge regarding governance, risk and compliance to the company and uses that expertise to build world-class records and information management programs. Prior to Cornerstone, Fred served in executive level positions within the Records and Information management industry both as a practitioner and consultant. He is also a renowned leader, speaker and author in the Records and Information Management Profession as Past President of ARMA International, a Certified Records Manager, Fellow of ARMA International and winner of the prestigious Emmett Leahy Award for innovative contribution excellence to the profession.
Fred has a BA in Liberal Arts from Boise State University.
